For your project this quarter, you will be working in groups and posting a project on this wiki about a particular region of Spain. I have listed various information here to get you started. Your group will be assigned a region of Spain. You must present your information and persuade the class to visit this region. You must include the following :
Map of the region (25 points): Post a map. The map must be accurate and should include all important cities, popular travel destinations, and key geographical features of the region.
Travel brochure (25 points): Post a travel brochure. The brochure will present information on the special interests of your region. This brochure must be written in your own words in English-- the use of someone else's copyrighted material is plagiarism, and will result in a loss of all 25 points.
Promotional advertisement (25 points): Post an advertisement or catch phrase in Spanish that promotes travel to this region of Spain. You may include photos of the region also.
Oral presentation (25 points): You will present an oral report to the class with your group. During this report, you will present your map, brochure, promotional advertisement, and tell us why we should plan to visit your region. Use your own words, and be persuasive! Your report will be in English, and must be at least six minutes and no more than twelve minutes long.
Each person in the group is expected to do their fair share of the work, and each person will receive the same grade for this project. Each element of the project is worth 25 points, for a total of 100 points. You will also receive 5/5 for posting or responding to discussions regarding any other group's projects. Factual information is of utmost importance so that your classmates can gain new knowledge of your region. Creativity is a definite plus!
